“Zoe”

The Leigh Sakoda Foundation celebrated the 3 year anniversary of Leigh's death by making a very important grant to a 25 year old woman in Rhode Island who has osteosarcoma (a very rare and aggressive bone cancer). In addition to fighting this terrible disease, this mother of 2 had to recently take in her 3 year old twin nieces because their own mother could not care for them (she must care for 4 children under the age of 4 in her house). Her fiancé has had to take a leave of absence from his job in order to provide child care for the children in the family. She is being treated at Rhode Island Hospital.
