“Teagan”

The Leigh Sakoda Foundation celebrated Thanksgiving by making a very important grant to a 39 year old woman diagnosed with a very rare cancer of the spinal chord, with the tumor originating at the base of the skull. This is a cancer type that is very difficult to treat, with high recurrence even after initial treatment. The patient is a small business owner who has a two year old daughter, and the time and cost of treatment has put a lot of financial pressure on their family and their shop.
