“Alyssa”

The Leigh Sakoda Foundation celebrated Leigh’s birthday by making a very important grant to a 19 year-old woman diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a very rare and aggressive bone cancer that affects teenagers and young adults. She lives with her mother and stepfather, and her mom has had to take much time off from work to take her to chemotherapy appointments nearly 100 miles away from her home. She is being treated at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford.
